Silent aircraft over oxford?

Hai Biggart: I don't know what you saw, but I can tell you it was not an airplane under power. Maybe it was a glider.

Laveta Fathy: Not all aircraft have engines. Thus giving you silent flight.In 2006 they started working on the SAX-40 trying to attain silent flight.Maybe you saw the prototype.Gliders and hang gliders are two different things, planes without engines still look very much like a regular single engine aircraft.To make it legal it would need lights, such as a beacon , strobe , taxi , and navigation lights. People sometimes don't realize it but aircraft have headlights just like cars, that allow good visibility on dark runways.-Shibby...Show more

Shandi Wedge: Are you sure it was not an Edgley Optica? They can be flown very slowly and are very quiet when the engine is throttled back.
