Jene Kostyla: I live alone so I put my laundry in the machine after I shower.I usually wear all colored clothes and undies so all works out.Full loads only--about 2 a week.....
Davida Gisriel: i have separate hampers so that i sort the clothes when i put them in the hamper, rather than mixing them all together and having a big job of sorting when i'm ready to wash the clothesone hamper for jeans (cold wash)one hamper for colors (cold wash)one hamper for misc. (socks, underwear, towels) (warm wash)i wait until there is enough to do a full load, and i'll just do a load when i'm at home just relaxing, watching a movie, etc. rather than having one big "laundry day" to do it all at once.manage your time likewise so it never is a major chore. unless you don't have washer/dryer in your home, then it makes more sense to do it all at once.i have enough clothes to go at least a month without doing laundry...Show more

Vernon Martorana: We have a household of two adults and two pre-teens and produce about 3 medium to large loads of laundry (other than bed linnens) every other day. Each of the kids have their own hamper for dirty clothes in their room, so collecting their clothes is quick and easy and I have a hamper in our dresser as well as in our bathroom. When it's laundry time I use 3 hampers to quickly pre-sort the loads (lights/dark/color) and after the first load is out of the washer I have one in the dryer and the next load immediately in the washer again. As soon as the first load is done in the dryer, I immediately bring the basket up to sort and fold the clothes into groups who! they belong to. I put away my own clotes as well as my husbands clothe! s were they belong and let my kids put their own clothes away into their drawers, all while my next loads are in the washer dryer. I've you've noticed that I skipped the ironing part it's because I mainly try to purchase wash and wear kind of clothing. Hope this info helps you for your class project. Good luck!...Show more
