Has the study of gender illuminated men’s lives as much as women’s?

Moises Rupinski: Men lives at least of the upper classes was always a well known and written about subject, how many books were written about men compared to women in the 19th and beginning of the 20th century? Journals were for men mostly, very few were for women and those journals dealt with cooking, child raising, cosmetics etc. Its only with the emergence of the Women's liberation at the beginning of the 1960's that a flood of books journals and research about women swept the western world. I am not sure what journals you look for, women journals? Or research journals that deal with gender? Try to specify what you need and I will try to help.OK, I can't get a list of all gender-based journals but I think the answer would probably be NO, finally when women (mostly) instigated gender-based scientific journals they were all about women like for instance in 1992 The Journal of Women's Health and Ge! nder-based medicine.
